Jeffrey F. Allen, DDS
Dr. Allen grew up in eastern Iowa and graduated from Augustana College in Illinois with a degree in Biology. He then entered dental school and earned his Doctorate of Dental Science from the University of Iowa, College of Dentistry, in 1987.
Dr. Allen and his wife Paula moved to Des Moines, where he worked in a group practice and she worked in management for Von Maur. The 9 years they spent in Des Moines allowed Dr. Allen to gain valuable dental experience and establish good working relationships with several specialists.
They moved to Pella in 1996 and Dr. Allen opened his family dentistry office in a historic building, downtown, on the square. In 2003, the building was completely renovated and expanded to accommodate the growing practice. In addition to his private practice in Pella, Dr. Allen serves as an adjunct faculty member, helping senior dental students in the Department of Family Dentistry at the University of Iowa.
The Allens participate in many community events and activities, and they support the community, schools, and local non-profit organizations. Their daughter, Katie, has been involved in tennis and dance throughout her high school and college years.
Dr. Allen enjoys all aspects of dentistry, especially incorporating new technology and materials into his daily patient care. He feels fortunate to be in a profession in which he can help people enjoy high quality of life through excellent health. He takes special care to keep a warm and friendly atmosphere in his office so that his patients feel well cared for, comfortable, and welcome.
In their free time, Dr. Allen and his wife enjoy working out, hiking, playing tennis, biking, playing cards with friends, watching movies, and traveling.
Denise E. Neumann, DDS
Dr. Denise Neumann was born and raised in Iowa Falls, Iowa. As a young adult, a family friend and dentist gave her the opportunity to work in his dental office during high school. This experience first introduced her to her lifelong passion for dentistry. Dr. Neumann attended Wartburg College and graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Biology in 1998. She then attended the University Of Iowa College Of Dentistry and earned a Doctorate of Dental Science degree in 2002.
Dr. Neumann and her husband, David, moved to Oskaloosa, Iowa in 2002, following a career opportunity for her husband, David, at Cargill. David also has a degree from Wartburg College in Biology and Chemistry. He works in management at the Cargill plant in Eddyville, Iowa.
Dr. Neumann has been an associate dentist since 2002 in Oskaloosa, Iowa and Knoxville, Iowa. Those experiences allowed her to increase her dental expertise. The time spent was invaluable for learning the methods of ensuring gentle patient care.
When not seeing patients, Dr. Neumann serves as a dental consultant for Principal Financial Group in Des Moines, Iowa, allowing her to help with another aspect of the dental professional.
The Neumann family moved to Pella in 2007. They have 2 children, Zack and Lizzie. The Neumann family feels blessed to live in an area that has many wonderful people and outdoor activities to enjoy. Dr. Neumann, her husband, and their children enjoy spending time together as a family. They like to go boating, vacationing, attending church functions, watching the Iowa Hawkeyes, and being involved in their children's extracurricular activities.
Dr. Neumann is truly passionate about the dental profession and enjoys treating patients of all ages. Dr. Neumann continues to enhance her dental knowledge by completing continuing education classes in both esthetic dentistry and Invisalign. She takes pride in creating beautiful smiles.
Misti was a dental assistant for 5 years prior to attending school at DMACC, where she studied to become a dental hygienist. She enjoys helping her patients understand the importance of healthy smiles, as well as how to establish and maintain optimal oral health. Misti and her husband live in Montezuma with their son and daughter. Most of their free time is spent enjoying their children and at social activities.
After earning her dental assisting degree from DMACC in 2010, Lindsay joined the Allen Family Dentistry team. In addition to assisting Dr. Allen in the treatment rooms, Lindsay provides excellent patient service at the front desk. A native of Pella, Lindsay lives in Knoxville with her son. When she's away from the office, Lindsay enjoys shopping and watching the Sprint Car Races at the Knoxville Raceway.
As a receptionist, Shari's days are filled with scheduling appointments and assisting patients with insurance and billing. She has been a registered dental assistant since 2000. Shari and her husband Don have 1 daughter and live on acreage just south of Knoxville. In her free time, Shari enjoys traveling, shopping, listening to music, and spending time with her friends and family.
After 10 years of experience as a receptionist and dental assistant, Tracey became a hygienist in 2007. She is married to her high school sweetheart, and they have 3 daughters. In their free time, Tracey and her family raise llamas, attend family sporting events, and often spend weekends at the lake.
Born and raised in Pella, IA, Lacey began her dental assisting career in 2008. Her favorite part of her job is getting to know the patients. When not at work, she spends time with her husband Nathan and their two wiener dogs, Lilly and CoCo. In the fall you will find them cheering on the Iowa Hawkeye football team in Iowa City on Saturdays.
Shannon was a dental assistant for 3 years prior to attending DMACC, receiving her Dental Hygiene degree in 2011. Growing up in Monroe, IA, she loves meeting new people and educating them on the benefits of good oral hygiene. Shannon and her husband Ryan live just outside of Pella on a beautiful horse farm. In their free time, they enjoy spending time with their many friends and family that live in the area.
